El Rancho

On the 10th of september my class split up into groups and went to El Rancho. I went in a van with Drew, Niko, and his mum and her boyfriend. then me, Drew, and Niko got there early so we could play on the park. Then everyone else arrived in the buses. So when everyone got there we split back up into our groups.

So then all the groups went to there first activity, mine was kyaking. First we put on life jackets and then went over some safety drills. After that we got onto the water and just paddled around for a bit then we all got into a line with our kyaks but i got a bit scared cause i stood up on the kyak and said my name and a animal that started with the same letter at the start of my name. But overall I thought it was alright

Next I went to archery and that was definately my favourite activity. I hit all of my shots and we played a game that I won for us but I had fun and thats all that really matters. It was also a bit funny to becuase Drew was always screaming and everyone was telling him to shut up.

Then we went to the escape room which was confusing and fun becuase I was partly trying to sleep and I was being useless. but then a couple of people in my group said to help them figure it out. The escaping was pretty hard and the superviser had to help us get out. But then again we only had half an hour. But overall it was pretty cool but it was probably my least favourite activity of the day.

3. yes becuase salva hasn't seen his family in 19 years.
4. bring them together becuase having clean water is a great thing to have and should be celebrated. ecspecially if they used to have dirty water.

Zoos should be banned

Zoos should be banned because it’s keeping the animals hostage. The animals are just trapped in a zoo with barely anything to do except look through the glass. The animals deserve to be free and let out into the wild. But if a particular animal is endangered then it is probably better for them in a zoo. Animals should be able to do what they want and not be controlled by a zookeeper.

Zoos should be banned because the animals might get scared from a person or a kid. People could hurt the animals or kill the animals. So the zoos should be banned also some kids might be stupid and mess around with the animals and could get him and the animal injured. Kids could bang on the glass and smash it and the animals could run away.

Zoos should be banned because animals could hurt each other or fight with each other. Animals can break the glass or run away. The animals could get lost and not be able to make it back to their home in the zoo. Animals could hurt people or kids or even the zookeeper. Animals could hurt the zookeeper when he’s trying to feed them their food.

Zoos should be banned and the animals should be able to be free unless they are endangered. But zoos are a good way for kids or adults to learn about animals or see one that they've never seen before.

A long walk to water section 5

1. I recon that the boss's leadership technics are amazing becuase they get more than one chance and then he will get mad.

2. Salva makes sure everyone has a job and gets enough food and water. On the other hand the boss is nice he jokes around so that they will be good and will contribute to jobs and work. If that doesn't work he will give them a serious talk and if that does not work. He gets mad.

3. michael is a aid worker and he is just nice that's why he helped Salva read and write. it's important that he heaps he didn't have a great education before that.

4. The lost boys are the people who got sent off to different countries. I would still feel anxious and scared even though i would go to a new family.

Part 4-Discussions Questions

1. I think If his uncle wasn't with him he would share becuase he is generous.
2.  maybe some of his family memers died and he wanted to evenge them.
3. salva will proove that he is strong and won't slow them down.
4. When he thought he saw his mum but he didn't so he thought they were gone. When his uncle said we just need to get to the bushes when they were in the desert.

1. Salva's uncle helps him overcome his fear by calming him down becuase Salva was scared and worried.
 I don't think so.
2. I think the desert was the worst element becuase he stubbed his toe and his toe nail came off. He also got tired and scared but his uncle helped him to get through it.
3. He points to some bushes and said hey see those bushes Salva we just need to get to them. do you think you can do that Salva.
Salva probably would have gone crazy and would've got scared and most probably eaten.
